This is the privacy policy of House of Grosvenor, the publishing imprint behind the books by Anne Grosvenor. We are the data controller for any personal information you provide on this site. You may contact us at any time at letters@houseofgrosvenor.com.
We collect as little personal information as possible, and we never sell it.
What we collect, and why
When you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect your email address. We use it to send you The Grosvenor Letters, the welcome sequence introducing The First Notes, and occasional emails about the books. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
When you purchase a book, we collect your name, email address, billing address, and payment details. We use these to deliver your purchase, send your receipt, and meet our legal obligations for tax and accounting.
Payment data is processed by our payment partners (Stripe and PayPal) and Payhip, the marketplace platform. We do not store full card details. Their privacy policies cover what they collect during checkout.
Cookies and website usage: Our website may use cookies to keep the site working and, anonymously, to measure traffic. We do not use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Ask us what data we hold on you
- Ask us to correct anything wrong
- Ask us to delete your data (the "right to be forgotten")
- Unsubscribe from any of our emails at any time
- Object to our processing of your data
To do any of these, write to letters@houseofgrosvenor.com. We will respond within thirty days, usually much sooner.
How long we keep your data
Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.
Customers: we retain order records for six years for accounting and tax purposes, as required by HMRC.
Where your data lives
Subscriber and email data is stored with beehiiv (our newsletter platform), based in the United States. Order data is stored with Payhip (the marketplace), based in the United Kingdom. Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal under their own privacy policies.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We will update this page when our practices change, and post the date of the last update at the top.
